Reckless Souls (Saints Academy, #1)(83)

stop herself from rolling her hips against my hand, wanting more, and it only seems to strain my cock.

“There’s a lot you don’t know about me. Sexual preferences included,” she mumbles back,

catching me off guard, and I grin, loving the bite on her tongue as always.

“I’ll know the taste of your honey,” I reply, bringing my free hand to my mouth and running my

fingertips over my bottom lip. I hear the intake of breath at my brazen act, and it leaves me wanting to

wrap my hand around my dick, her juices coating my tip as I jerk off to her scent alone. But this isn’t

about me, this is my thanks to her.

Rhea’s hand moves, clenching around my arm, desperate to contain her body’s reaction to my

touch, but it’s difficult. To watch her fall apart at the seams, in a crowded room, enemies and friends

alike surrounding us, it’s a sight I’m suddenly desperate for.

“Come for me, little earthling, show me how much you appreciate my thanks,” I whisper,

watching as her brows knit together in confusion. Likely unsure of what I’m thanking her for, but she’s

too lost in the ecstasy rising within her as she leans in to hide her face from the rest of the table,

bringing her lips to my ear this time.

“Don’t. Fucking. Call. Me. That,” she bites, grinding out each word in time with my thrusts, but I

hear the way her breath catches, and just as I circle my fingers deep in her core, I feel Xander place

his hand on her left thigh, squeezing tight.

The combination of both of our touches sends her over the edge, her breath stuttering in my ear as

her pussy clamps down around my fingers, dragging every ounce of pleasure from my touch. When

she eventually sags against me, completely wrung out, I can’t wipe the salacious grin from my lips.

Pleased with myself, I reluctantly pull my fingers from her cunt, making a show of adjusting

myself as Rhea falls back in her seat, watching my every move.

The room slowly begins to filter in, the noise, the smells, the eyes.

Looking across the table, I find Zen staring straight at me, eyes full of questions as Khaos grins,

distracting the girls as they ramble about something I have no desire to get involved in.

It takes Rhea a moment to catch her breath, and when she does, she leans forward, placing her

food order like nothing happened, before finally turning her gaze back to mine.

“What do I need to say you’re welcome for?” she asks casually, and it makes my grin spread

wider.

“For stepping in to help me,” Xander replies before I can, and I offer a simple nod in response.

Frown lines crease her forehead, but I don’t offer any other words as I reach for my bottle of water,

unscrewing the lid to swirl my wet fingers around the rim.

Khaos chuckles under his breath as Rhea’s eyes widen, jaw dropping as she watches me bring the

bottle to my lips and swallow it down in a few gulps.

“You take care of us, we take care of you,” I finally state, a shit eating grin on my face as I stretch

my legs out in front. “In more ways than one,” I add with a wink.

“We do have things to discuss though,” Xander adds quietly, and she nods, tearing her gaze from

everyone as she focuses on anything but our faces.

There’s plenty to discuss, but there’s a time and a place for a heavy conversation.

Orgasms however, must be seized whenever the moment strikes.

Like now.

Chapter 24

Rhea

I take a deep breath, inhaling the fresh air with every move as I bask in the evening sun. It feels

like an eternity since I’ve been able to do something so casual, normal. I definitely haven’t found

a minute since I arrived at Saints Academy, but after the mess of today, I had to quit my bullshit

excuses and make it happen. For my own sanity more than anything.

Twisting my torso, I stretch my arms out to the side, my knee dipping as I extend the Warrior II

position. I take another long, deep breath, checking in with each part of my body as I let the

familiarity of my favorite yoga move wash over me.

Back in Phoenix Valley I would always go to the nearby park for free classes. It was run down,

nowhere near as green as I imagine it once was, but it offered far more room than my shoebox

apartment did. Which is why I find myself outside again.

After all the classes had finished for the day, I made my way back to Agion with Harmonia,

before changing into a set of Academy issued shorts and t-shirt and heading down toward the lake.

I haven’t been down here since Zen showed me snow. It still left me speechless and awe inspired

as I remembered the soft and delicate snowflakes falling from the sky so easily. Now, it’s back to its

luscious green grass, pale blue waters, and cherry blossom trees, which were surprising for the time

of year, but I guess anything goes in Paradise Heights.

Raising my hands above my head, I inhale slowly before bending in half to touch my fingers to my

toes. Today has been a complete fucking mess. Utterly disastrous, no matter which way you looked at

it.

It feels like too much has happened in one single day for it to even be real, but here I am, standing
