Lost in Paradise (Paradise Club #2)(58)
“Not sure that’s in the VIP package we offer, I’d need to check the fine print. But I’m sure we could arrange something for after-hours.” She chuckles. Yes, please, I’d love that. Next thing I know I’m picking her up and depositing her on the edge of her desk. She’s wearing jeans so that puts a dampener on getting down and dirty in her office.
“If you weren’t wearing jeans right now,” I say, lowering my voice as I look her over like she’s my next meal.
“I’ll make sure next time you visit my office I’m wearing something less restrictive.”
“Don’t tease me like that, Ivy,” I groan out as all the dirty thoughts of what she and I could do in her office run rampant through my mind.
“Guess I should take you home then,” she states, wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing me softly.

“I can’t believe you’re going to his family’s house for the weekend. Isn’t that too soon?” Liv says, questioning me.
Says the girl who flew to LA to be with a rock star.
“His mom is a fan of my work, and he wants to surprise her, so he can be the favorite son,” I tell her jokingly.
“Isn’t that weird?”
“No. I thought it was funny,” I add, now becoming a little annoyed by her inquisition.
“I’m trying to look out for you, babe,” Olivia adds.
“I know. But he isn’t like my ex. Plus, Cam seems smitten with his brother,” I remind her.
“She’s smitten by his dick and the kinky sex they have.” Liv giggles, and I know she’s not wrong. “If Cam thinks Nate is a good guy, then Alex, I’m sure is similar. I love you, and I worry about you,” she adds.
“Then you know how it feels watching your friend make a mistake but she’s too stubborn to do something about it.”
Liv sighs down the phone. “I don’t want to keep fighting about the wedding, Ivy. It’s happening.”
“Have you called Axel?” I ask. Silence greets me on the end of the phone. “Liv?”
“Yes, but I didn’t speak to him because I hung up when he answered the phone. I was a coward but what could I say?”
“Sorry. I love you. I made a mistake. Rescue me?” I tell her.
“I can’t, you know that,” Liv replies sadly. I know I keep going on about everything, but she’s my best friend, and I love her, and she’s making a horrible mistake. I’ll do anything to save her just like she did for me when I needed saving from Steve.
“I know,” I reply quietly.
“I don’t mean to be pessimistic about you and Alex. I’m jealous, that’s all.” She sighs.
“I like him, Liv. He’s patient when I get inside of my head when Steve’s words come back and haunt me. He’s funny and kind …”
“He’s hot, rich, and is great in bed,” Liv adds with a chuckle.
“You know I don’t care about those things.”
“I know, babe, I’m teasing,” she says. “Go … have fun then. I’m going to live my life vicariously through you. One of us should be getting laid, and laid well.”
“I’m not going to sleep with him at his family’s home.”
Liv bursts out laughing. “Ten bucks says you do. I don’t think you could last an entire weekend in the same bed as him.”
A frown forms on my face. She’s right. It’s going to be hard, but Alex is a respectful guy, and I know he wouldn’t have sex under his parents’ roof.
Alex isn’t that respectful. Remember the way he took you on your office desk.
The memories of the other night when he called to ask me out for dinner flash through my mind. I was at the office working late, had just gotten off a call with someone in Australia, and because of the time difference, the rest of the office had gone home. Alex organized dinner and delivered it to me at the office. I was starving because I’d skipped lunch due to meetings. Before I knew it, it was eight at night and my stomach was rumbling. Once we ate, Alex declared he was ready for his dessert, which apparently was me, spread out over my desk while he sat in my chair with his head buried beneath my dress. Once he made me come multiple times with his tongue, he flipped me over and took me from behind against my desk. I had to hold onto my computer because it was seconds from toppling over the edge with his deep thrusts. Then he walked me home and kissed me goodnight.
“Ivy? Earth to Ivy,” Liv calls out. Shit! I forgot I was on the phone. “You are so screwed.” My friend laughs.
“Whatever.” I groan, but she is right, I’m royally screwed.
“Have fun. Miss you loads, and I’ll see you in a month for the day.” Olivia groans. “And I want the details when you get back, okay?”
“Fine, love ya.” And with that, she’s gone.
I throw the last of my things in my bag and head downstairs to wait for Alex to pick me up. I took today off work to get ready for the weekend. Alex wants us to go down Friday, so he can introduce me to his family before the party, and Pierre should be arriving tonight as well.
I haven’t told Pierre I will be seeing him this weekend as I want it to be a surprise.
