Lola & the Millionaires: Part One (Sweet Omegaverse #2)(85)

My mouth and eyes opened wide on a silent gasp. “But—”

“I want you dripping down my wrist,” Matthieu said, gazing down at me, hair mussed from my hands. “I want your legs to shake as you walk into that nest. If you want to come, you can ask and I’ll make sure you do. But I want to fuck you with my fingers—hm, and maybe my mouth too, I think—until we get to the house.”

My heart skipped a beat and my legs fell open, involuntary permission for Matthieu to do whatever the hell he wanted to me.

“Is that all right, Lola?” Matthieu’s head ducked down, cheek nuzzling against mine, scent-marking me in a way that was meant to happen before you had your cock down a girl’s throat, not after. “Would you like that?”

Alphas were dangerous. That was still true. It’s just that the danger of Matthieu wasn’t that he would hurt me. It was that I was already addicted to how good he made me feel.

His thumb rolled over my clit and my head lolled on my shoulders, a soft whimper escaping. Matthieu dragged a wet kiss over my jaw up to my ear, sucking on the lobe. I rocked into his touch, hands clutching his shoulders and the nape of his neck.

“Yes, I want that,” I whispered.

Lola

My legs did shake as we walked into the house, and the insides of my thighs burned from the friction of Matthieu’s beard. Once again, the house wasn’t what I was expecting; it was cozy and the halls Matthieu led me through were tighter, the building clearly historic and made from stone and mortar. It was a large but humble house, with worn wooden furniture and a brighter interior to make up for the smaller spaces. It was built on the top of a hill, the rooms cascading down to make a bigger home out of what looked like a two-story Tudor style.

Matthieu’s thumb stroked the back of my hand as he guided me down the stairs. Rake’s nest was on the last floor, and with every step, worries plagued me.

Matthieu stopped us at the bottom of the stairs, sliding my bag off his shoulder and dropping his coat over the arm of a chair, turning to face me and pulling me against his chest. The hall was dark and it was quiet. Was everyone else in the house asleep or were the walls thick? The driver had dropped us off and left, and I’d expected to see Leo or Wes when we got in, but there was no sign of anyone.

“What’s wrong?” Matthieu whispered, head bending to rest against mine. “Are you afraid of the heat? Or upset? Lola, if I—”

“I’m worried Rake will be angry,” I answered, keeping my eyes down. “Or Leo will be hurt. I should’ve thought of it before. No, I did. It just didn’t stop me.”

Matthieu was quiet for a long time, his hands stroking over my back. He lifted his head, and I forced the courage to look up at him. There was a light on in the stairwell overhead that illuminated half his face, and his expression was…thoughtful maybe.

“I hadn’t considered it, if I’m honest. I was so…” He shook his head, lips twitching, and then sobered again. “For what it’s worth, I don’t think you have anything to be worried over.”

My brow furrowed. “Rake is so used to people using him to get to his alphas.”

Matthieu’s eyebrows bounced. “Is that what you did? Are you no longer interested in Rake and Leo?”

“No, of course noooot…” I narrowed my eyes and cocked my head as Matthieu grinned. “Okay, that’s…a point.”

“Hmm,” Matthieu hummed and pulled me up to my tiptoes, mouth slanting over mine for a deep and lingering kiss. “Sore?”

I shook my head. Matthieu had been thorough and considerate in every aspect. “Weak in the knees, yes. Still wet? Yup. But not sore.”

Matthieu purred, his stare hovering over me, eyes warm and holding a hint of his smile. He sighed and stepped away. “If I keep you locked away for my own purposes Rake will be angry,” Matthieu said, taking my hand again and picking up my bag. “Do you want me to come in with you?”

I bit my lip and thought it over. It was tempting. Matthieu might keep my head distracted from the fact that there were two other alphas there. But it might also make Rake feel like I was there for Matthieu and not for him. Plus, if Rake was angry, it needed to be with me and me alone.

“No, I think it’s better if I go in alone,” I said, squeezing his hand.

The door to the nest was at the end of the hall, a few doors open on bedrooms.

“I’m on the next floor up,” Matthieu said. “And there’s a bathroom here just before the nest.”

Even the bathroom was comparatively small to those in the city house, but there was still a decently sized glass shower stall in the corner, and a clawfoot tub.

“There’s a short hall after the door, just to help make the nest more private, and it’s…cozy from what I remember,” Matthieu said. His eyes were on my face as I stared at the heavy wooden door. “I’m sure I could take Leo’s room on this floor if you’d like me to be nearby?”

It was only that he sounded as anxious to be near as I was to have him, that made me nod. “If you don’t mind, that would be nice.”

“Of course,” Matthieu said, stepping in close. I rose on my own, meeting him halfway for the kiss and then again for another.
