Indecent Danger (Danger Incorporated #3)(30)

Finally the pressure coiled in her abdomen was too much and it sprang free as her breath stuttered out of her lungs and her body shook with the force of her release. Her lids fluttered shut and colored lights danced in front of her eyes as the universe swirled until she was dizzy and out of breath.

Aubrey dragged air into her starved lungs as Travis placed a tender kiss on her hip and sat back on his heels again, sliding his sweatpants down his legs and tossing them to the floor. His t-shirt was the next to go, revealing his tanned, muscular chest. Feeling particularly bold she reached up and ran her hands over the smooth flesh, tracing his ridged abs and tickling his hipbones, eliciting a low groan that seemed pulled from the depths of his soul. Her fingers brushed the tented fabric of his boxers and he threw back his head and moaned, giving her the courage to explore him more fully.

Impatiently he tugged at his boxers, throwing them on the floor, his length springing free and slapping his belly. Long and hard, he was larger than anything she’d seen before and she knew a moment of fear that she couldn’t take him. He seemed to recognize her reticence and he wrapped his hand around the thick shaft, running up and down a few times as if to show her he was harmless.

“It might not fit.”

The words had simply tumbled out of her mouth but now that she’d said them she was kind of relieved. Spatial relationships weren’t her strong suit, but he had to see that this simply might not be possible no matter how much she wanted it to.

Grinning, Travis rubbed his palms up and down her thighs in a comforting motion but all it did was send sparks straight to her sex. This man was turning her into a puddle of need.

“I’ll fit just fine, baby. We’ll take it nice and slow. There’s no hurry. If anything hurts you stop me and we’ll find another position that might work better. Are you ready for me?”

She’d been ready since practically the moment she’d met him but it didn’t mean that she wasn’t scared too. They were crossing a line in their relationship and there was no going back afterward. They could only move forward into the unknown.

And the unknown was terrifying as hell.

Aubrey felt him nudge her and instinct made her widen her thighs even as he pushed forward, gently but firmly, stretching her walls and drawing a gasp from her lips.

“Breathe, baby.” Travis’s hoarse words barely penetrated her befuddled mind, but she somehow managed a few ragged breaths as he continued to impale her until he was finally in to the hilt.

He didn’t move a muscle, clearly waiting for her to give a signal that she was ready. His face a tight mask of control, his jaw rigid from the sheer will to hold back, he balanced above her on his palms watching her face for even the slightest whisper of discomfort.

But that wasn’t what was happening. Heat was beginning to spread from her slit, through her abdomen, and down to her toes and fingertips. The strong urge to move couldn’t be denied any longer and she experimentally swiveled her hips and a rush of pleasure suffused her entire body. Travis immediately picked up on the signal and slowly pulled almost all the way out before thrusting back in, his hips snapping against her own.

They set up a pace that was faster than slow but not frantic in its intensity. Her fingers gripped at his shoulders before sliding down his sweat-covered back to dig into his lean hips. Travis’s head dipped down to capture a nipple with his lips and his thrusts took on a slightly different angle that had her seeing stars, moons, and asteroid showers.

“Like that, kitten?” he whispered into her ear, his voice a feral growl. “That’s the spot, isn’t it?”

It was indeed. A spot no one had ever found when inside of her before and she couldn’t get enough of him stroking it, over and over until she was clinging to him, mindless with ecstasy and teetering on the brink of…something dangerous. Falling over the edge with him…letting herself go like that… Self-control at all times was what she’d depended on all these years, and if she wanted the glittery pleasure that was held just out of her reach she was going to have to let go and reach for it.

Travis didn’t give her a choice this time any more than he had the first. He reached between their bodies to press his fingers against her swollen clit and her climax exploded, her entire body going taut and her toes curling. She heard herself call his name and then liquid heat ran through her veins until she was on fire from the inside out, barely cognizant of the world outside of the two of them.

She forced her lids open to watch as Travis reached his own peak, his head thrown back, his teeth snapped together. His incredible male beauty seemed more profound at an intimate moment such as this and she counted herself lucky to be able to see him – at the mercy of his pleasure.

He rolled off of her, taking her with him and tucking her into his side, one leg thrown over hers as they caught their breath. Aubrey’s heart galloped in her chest as she came down from the most amazing high of her life. An addicting rush she already wanted to repeat again and again until she didn’t know her own name.

“Are you okay? Did I hurt you?”

Travis’s hands slid up and down her back and legs as if looking for some imaginary injury and she could only giggle in response. He worried way too much.

“I’m fine. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever been better in my life.”

Where she’d found the courage – and the energy – to tease him she had no idea but he stayed still for a moment and then he pulled her more tightly to him, almost crushing the air from her lungs.
