Elastic Hearts (Hearts #3)(66)
“You make me desperate for you, Nicole,” he growled, cradling the back of my head and crashing my lips to his. “You’re f*cking mine.”
I nodded, slowing my pace and closing my eyes to hold back tears. “Yes.”
“Say it. Tell me,” he said, his lips against mine, his tongue doing a slow sweep of my mouth, playing with mine, teasing, sucking. “Tell me you’re mine.”
“I can’t,” I whispered. I felt the familiar burn building inside. “I’m so close. So close.”
Victor gripped my thighs, trapping me so I couldn’t move. “Look at me.”
I opened my eyes and my heart skipped.
“Tell. Me,” he said, pumping me up and down once. I moaned.
“Please, Victor.”
“Tell me.” He moved again, standing up and pumping me up and down as he stood, my legs wrapping around his waist. He was so deep like this.
So deep.
So good.
I grind against him, trying to reach my resolve. “Why won’t you say it?”
I grabbed the back of his head and pulled him into a kiss, making him forget for a moment. He walked and thrust deeper, walked and thrust harder, biting my bottom lip as he did it. My moan was deep and long, a mix of a growl and an I’m yours as I reached my climax. He thrust inside me a few times more, long and deep, growling a “f*ck, yes,” as he reached his own.
I KNOW WHEN a woman is falling for me. I know because I usually leave right before it happens. Right before she gets that look in her eyes that says this could be us when I’m f*cking her. Nicole had that look tonight. I saw it. She’d had that look while we were at my parents’, while we were out shopping, and as she’d handed my keys to the valet when we’d arrived at the hotel. And I couldn’t fathom leaving her, even though I had to. I had to. I should. Not because I wanted to, because for once I didn’t. For the first time that look on her face most likely mirrored mine. But my career was on the line as well as her reputation, and those were two things I wasn’t willing to mess with. I sighed and ran my fingers through her hair. Her face was on my shoulder, her lips slightly parted as she slept peacefully. It looked like a scene right out of a goddamn romance movie. Me watching her like a total creeper while she slept peacefully.
“I think I’m falling in love with you,” I whispered as she slept. “And I really don’t f*cking want to. You probably don’t even want a serious relationship right now. You probably just want to have fun.” I sighed. “But the thought of you having fun and being like this with anybody but me . . . kills me.”
I stopped talking when she groaned and moved against me, leaving some drool on my shoulder as she moved her head. I chuckled. That was a first. That’s what I get for letting her snuggle up on me and shit. She was so cute when she slept, though. Probably because she wasn’t talking or taunting me. Most likely because she was on me, though. Nicole Alessi on top of me was my new favorite sight. Nicole Alessi anywhere near me was my new favorite sight. On me, under me, next to me . . . This was bad. Really f*cking bad. I was starting to think like Oliver . . . or worse . . . Jensen. Fuck. I couldn’t possibly have the same love-struck fool look on my face as those two did when they looked at their wives. I adjusted her so she was on the pillow and no longer on me, but I kept my fingers running through her hair because it was soft and doing it soothed me.
“Just . . . promise me that when I let you go you won’t run into another man’s arms. You’re mine, Nicole. We just need to get through this. We need to sort this out and let it blow over. It’s just a break. Just a short break,” I said, sighing and pulling her closer to me. “Good talk.”
Fuck my life. I finally had somebody I wanted to keep in my life, and she had to be the only one I couldn’t have. I knew letting it get this far before finalizing everything in her divorce made me a complete idiot, but there was no stopping. And having her, kissing her, f*cking her, being beside her like this made that clear. The issue now was that I wasn’t sure my heart could take it if she didn’t believe a short break was all it would be. I’m not sure I would believe her if she said she’d wait for me. That hadn’t been the plan before, but I needed it to be this time. Fuck all of this.
The phone rang way too f*cking early, but I’d set the call an hour earlier than we needed just in case, and I was glad. Nicole kept rubbing her ass on my hard-on and there was no way I wasn’t going to take advantage.
“Hmm . . . that feels good,” she said, moving her hips when I tucked my fingers between her legs and started strumming on her clit.
“I’m going to make you feel very good,” I said against her ear as I thrust inside her. She yelped.
“Holy . . . Victor.”
I chuckled, biting down on the skin between her neck and shoulder. “There’s nothing holy about Victor.”
I moved us so she was on her knees and I was bent over behind her, holding her hips to meet my thrusts. I wanted to slow down for her, but everything about her had me on overdrive. I couldn’t be near her and not go full throttle. She pushed back onto me, and I groaned at the feel of her clenching around me. I slapped her ass.
“Fuck,” she said, clenching harder. She was so wet for me. I slapped her ass again. “Victor.”
I couldn’t take it anymore. I reached for her hair and looped it around my hand, pulling her toward me as I pounded into her. I was sure between the two of us, we alerted everybody within a fifteen-mile radius that we were f*cking, but I didn’t care. My only regret was that I was wearing a condom. I wanted to feel her on me. And I would. Not today, but soon. I hoped.
