Diamond (Rare Gems #2)(57)

“I want a child with you. As many as we can.” She looked away, and he brought her back to look at him with his finger. “You don’t want to have children?”

“I do. I want…are you sure? I mean it might be too late, but if you want to wait, we’ll have to stop—” He kissed her quiet.

“How long before you know that you’re having our child?” She grinned at him, and he smiled back. “You know already, don’t you?”

“No, but we will when it happens. So will anyone who can smell me.” He nodded. “Are you sure about this?”

“I’ve never been more sure about anything in my entire life.” He kissed her again before he lifted her into his arms. “You, my dear, will need to marry me before this event happens. I want our child to have all he can right from the beginning.”

“And if it’s a girl? What do you plan to do for her?” When she stood up again and adjusted her clothes, he watched her, thinking about her belly filling with a child. Sitting in the chair, he pulled her to him and lifted her shirt to kiss her there.

“She’ll be too much like her mother to want anything from me, but she’ll have anything she wants.” Thad looked up at her. “I love you so very much.”

“And I love you too. Can we go home now?” He stood up, and after she returned from the bathroom, he stood there watching her. “What?”

“Nothing. I just can’t believe how lucky I am right now.” And he was too. Thad Galloway was the happiest man in the world.
