Bet On It: An Age Gap Billionaire Office Romance(17)

As I pulled up next to Pierce, ready to take the lead, I realized that I was willing to lose one of the bets. As I pulled ahead of Pierce and entered the parking area ahead of him, it was clear which bet I was hoping to lose.

Like anyone would be, I was both excited and nervous to start my first day of work. But my feelings were heightened by the idea that I would be working with Reed.

Despite the bet, there were so many ways things could go wrong. Although there had been a great deal of friction between us the last two times we'd met, the chemistry was there too. At least for me. I hoped that once I settled into the job, I'd be too busy to think about him. Plus, he was the CEO while I was the head of social media in the marketing department.

Except for maybe an occasional meeting, which the director of marketing would probably be more likely to attend, I didn't anticipate that I would see him on a daily basis. So everything would be okay. Fingers crossed.

When I arrived, I was greeted by a smartly dressed woman who introduced herself as Catherine Smalls, Reed’s executive assistant. She was direct and efficient as she gave me a tour and let me know the expectations of the job. If I didn't know that Reed was the CEO, I might've guessed that she was. She had an air of authority about her.

It was clear to me that she was the gatekeeper. In my mind, that was a good thing. It added an extra layer of protection between me and Reed. Not that I was going to go seek Reed out, but if I did, she'd likely be in the way.

We finally ended up in the area of the building where the marketing team worked. She introduced me to the team, who were all friendly and welcoming. It added to my feeling that this was a good job decision.

I settled into my office and met with members of my immediate team to find out what they were working on now and to begin brainstorming ideas for the next campaigns. When that was done, I familiarized myself with my office and resources.

I was surprised I had an office, although it wasn’t necessarily private as the upper half of the walls were windows. I could see out into the main marketing department section. It also had windowed walls to designate the area.

My office, while in the marketing section, ran along a corridor to the other parts of the building. Across that corridor was a large meeting room, also with windowed walls. As I looked over, I stopped when I saw Reed standing at the head of the room, talking to a group of a half-dozen people or so.

When I first met Reed, he was wearing a T-shirt and jeans that made my mouth water. When I first saw him in the interview, he was wearing a suit, complete with coat and tie, and to be honest, he wore that well too. Now, in the meeting, his jacket was off and his tie was loose.

He'd unbuttoned the sleeves of his shirt and rolled them up. And goodness, if he didn't look delicious like that as well. I had an image of grabbing his tie and leading him somewhere secluded and then one by one unbuttoning the buttons of his shirt, exposing the hard planes of his chest and the hard pack of muscles on his abdomen.

It brought back the memory of the night we’d been together and I'd first seen him naked, and how I’d wanted to touch every inch of him, so I did. He let me explore his body, looking almost amused as I drew my fingers over his pecs, scraping my nails over his nipples, making him hiss, and then dragging my hands slowly down over his rock-hard abs and lower.

When I’d freed his dick, a thrill ran through me, although admittedly, there was trepidation as well. In his case, large hands did signify a long, thick cock. It was magnificent as it stood up straight, a pearl of precum sitting on the tip. I used my finger to rub it around the head and along the edge, loving how he sucked in a breath and then let out a long groan.

He did his best to let me explore his dick, but finally, he sheathed himself, pushed me back, and drove home. I arched and gasped as he filled me. I clung to him as the sensations swept me up. I’d enjoyed sex with my ex, but there was something different about it with Reed. There was more energy in the air. It whipped around me, tingled my skin.

It was also different because he wasn’t driving toward the finish line as fast as he could. I’d get to the edge and then the tables would turn. All of a sudden, I’d be on top, riding him, feeling more feminine and sexually free than I'd ever felt in my life. It was like a dance, moving, swaying, writhing until finally, neither could hold back. I came hard, feeling it through my entire body.

And the best part was that when it was over, it wasn't really over. Once we had an orgasm, there were a few minutes to catch our breaths, but then he’d start all over again. I had more orgasms that night than I’d had in the last year combined.

"Ms. Watts?" Catherine's terse voice broke through my memory.

I flinched and turned to her, embarrassed at having been caught ogling my boss. It was clear by the way she looked at me that I had been lost in my memory, and she’d had to say my name a couple of times to get me out of it.

"Yes. I'm sorry, I was just thinking."

Her expression was impassive, and yet I saw disapproval in her eyes. Not a good way to start my new job.

I motioned to the chair by my desk. "Would you like to sit?”

She entered my office, standing in front of my desk holding an envelope.

I took a seat behind the desk, using the few seconds to get myself sorted and putting on my professional mask.
