Vicious Prince (Royal Elite #5)(84)

“Fuck, belle, you weren’t supposed to come in yet.”

I grin. “Don’t stop on my account.”

His hands remain on his belt. “Lars said dark chocolate is the best bribe I could use with you.”

“Lars wasn’t wrong.”

“Wait.” His hand leaves his belt, and I nearly reach over to put it back.

Ronan is so beautiful, sometimes I stay up just to stare at him.

It’s not only his physical beauty, though; it’s also his soul that speaks to me and wrenches me out of my own soul.

He’s the calm after the storm.

He’s the light after the darkness.

He’s everything.

“Go back.” He narrows his eyes. “Did I hear something about marriage?”

“Yeah. I thought…you know…we’d make things official?” Otherwise I’ll start punching every girl who looks at him at uni.

He still attracts attention like a magnet. I thought that would be over after RES, but nope, his popularity knows no limits. I need to stake my claim before anyone tries to take him away.

It’s not that I’m threatened or anything, but I’m as greedy about Ronan as he is about me. That will probably never change.

People say we’re too young to get married, but it’s not about age for me. I’ve decided Ronan is the only human being I’ll spend the rest of my life with. It’s a cemented fact. So why delay it?

“Hey.” He appears offended. “I was planning a night out to ask you. This is not fair.”

“You wanted to ask me?”

“I wanted to marry you before that fucker Aiden married Elsa, but you always say all the grandiose stuff is stupid, so I figured I’d wait.”

My heart skips a beat as I stand on my tiptoes, wrap my arms around his neck, and seal a kiss to his cheek. “It isn’t stupid when you’re involved, Ronan.”

His grin widens. “One to nil, Xander.”

I laugh. “So does this mean you’ll marry me?”

“Of course I’m marrying you, and you didn’t ask first — I did.”

“We’ll agree to disagree, your lordship,” I tease. “What did you have in mind with the chocolate?”

“A few things.” His eyes shine with mischief.

“Like what?”

“Like this.” His lips meet mine, and then we’re falling on the bed.

If this is my life going forward, I’m so ready for it.

Epilogue 2 - Ronan

Five years later

“What did I say about interrupting me, belle?” I grunt in her ear as I flatten her against the table.

“I don’t know…” she moans, her legs opening wide.

She sauntered into my office and demanded I fuck her. She does that a lot, not that I’m complaining.

The best thing about being bosses in both our families’ companies is the fact that we get to mix business with pleasure.

“You don’t know?” I pound into her hard as she releases those deep-throated moans.

Her fingers grip the edge of the table as if it’s a lifeline. I don’t stop or slow down. I fuck her hard and fast and out of control, just like we both like it.

“Are you going to take it out on me later?” she whimpers.

Holding her by the hip, I push her short hair aside, baring her nape, and I lean over to whisper in her ear. “You bet, belle.”

She comes then.

My wife is a glutton for punishment and for promises of it. Knowing tonight will be even harder than right now makes her hotter and wetter and even more compliant.

This is only her appetiser. I power into her for a few more seconds before I follow right after.

We’re both breathing heavily as I fall over her, my clothes covering her sorry excuse for a blouse.

She blindly reaches a hand up and digs her fingers into my hair, twisting her head so her lips can meet mine. There’s nothing I love in the world more than kissing this woman and imprinting myself on her.

Since I first met Teal, she’s always gotten under my skin. It started with irritation then hate, and then it turned into the most powerful feeling I could have for another human being.

She understands me even before I say anything. She holds me without me having to ask for it.

Teal has always struggled with feelings, but not with me — never with me. She was strong then, but now she’s invincible.

Our childhoods will always be a part of who we are, but we’re over that. We turned the page and started our own tale.

We work and travel. We have family dinners with Ethan and Knox and that fucker Agnus, who never ceases to remind me that he was Teal’s type first.

My wife has told me I’m her only type now. Next time, I’m making her say it in front of that arsehole.

Mum and Dad are travelling — for tourism, not medical treatment — and they usually drag a grumpy Lars with them. He never fails to remind them that every hotel has awful service.

Teal and I also go to friends’ gatherings, and I still throw parties Aiden usually doesn’t appear at because he takes Elsa somewhere no one knows about. Fuck him, really. Xan and Cole do, and since we all work together in one way or another, we never actually broke apart after RES.
