Her Guardians - A Paranormal Reverse Harem Romance(22)

“I just love watching you,” he said, his eyes moving up and down my body. “Your pleasure is my pleasure .”

And I could both see, and feel that he was telling the truth. He moved faster, and I could feel my orgasm teetering on the edge .

I wanted to let it overtake me. I wanted it to surround me in complete and utter bliss .

Darrin flicked and pounded harder. I closed my eyes and pressed my palms against the door. My body rolled over the edge, and my climax exploded around me .

Every inch of my body tingled with an intense blast of sinful pleasure .

“Oh yes, yes, yes,” I moaned as Darrin’s hips rocked into me .

He thrust himself deeper and groaned. “Oh, Fuck .”

Together, we floated back down to earth. He helped me back into my pants and watched me with a smile as I tucked myself back into my shirt .

Once we were both situated he smiled and pulled me into his arm. He kissed the top of my head .

“I can’t wait to do that again.” Darrin rested the side of his head on top of mine. “Maybe next time in a bed. Or a countertop. Table ?”

I smiled. Hopefully, I wouldn’t have to wait long. I felt more powerful than I ever had. Darrin and Erik too had brought something out in me, that I couldn’t quite explain. Whatever it was, I loved it .

“Maybe somewhere outdoors,” I said closing my eyes. “I’ve always wondered what that would be like .”

“Sounds like a date .”

“Hmm, that would be nice too .”

“Anything you want .”

I yawned and snuggled in closer. Darrin was extremely comfortable, and I was exhausted .

When the car stopped, I opened my eyes. We were back at my apartment. Gage and Roman were standing outside, staring at the car .

Darrin pushed open the door and wrapped his arms around my waist. He slid his hand around my neck and softly kissed me .

“Aren’t you coming?” I asked .

“I need to go back to the temple. I can come back later if you want .”

I nodded. “I definitely want .”

“See you soon, then .”

I climbed out of the car, but before I got more than two steps away, my mom rolled down her window and motioned for me .

“If you’re wondering why Gage is here, it’s because I hired him as your fourth,” she said .

“Fourth?”

“Your fourth guardian .”

I shook my head. “I need four ?”

“Every witch has at least four. Want to guess how many I have?” She grinned .

I rolled my eyes. “No thanks .”

“Anyway, don’t pester either of them to leave because they won’t. They’re here to guard you,” my mom said as she started to roll up the window. “Good night sweetheart .”

The window was closed before I could even say anything. I turned around to both Gage and Roman wearing the exact same smile .

Chapter 13

Eve

G age waited outside of the apartment. I offered to let him come inside but he said my mom had given him very specific orders .

Roman asked if he could help me with anything, but I didn’t have anything for him to do. I gave him the remote and insisted he just make himself at home .

He flicked through the channels rapidly, eventually stopping on some kind of old mystery show. I picked up the mess from when Marcus’s minion had been in my apartment trying to kidnap me .

“How do you like working for my mom?” I asked straightening a pile of books .

“I work for you now,” he said looking over his shoulder with a big grin on his face .

I straightened my spine. “Is that right? So, if I told you to leave you would ?”

“Well, not exactly. OK. How about this… I work for both of you .”

“Sounds like a conflict of interest to me,” I said raising an eyebrow .

“Not at all, I’m very happy to work for both of you.” He looked into my eyes. “Whatever you want or need, all you have to do is ask. Come here,” he said patting the spot on the cushion next to him, “take a rest .”

“Oh, I was just sleeping in the car,” I said, but my mind drifted off to the moments before I’d fallen asleep. I bit my lip and smiled at the memory. How would Roman feel if he knew about all that? “I don’t really feel tired, but thanks .”

“Does my mom really think something is going to happen to me?” I asked glancing out the window. “Is it really necessary to have you here? How long are you guys going to be hanging around here anyway ?”

Roman chuckled. “That’s a lot of questions .”

“Sorry.” I waited for answers .

“She just wants us to make sure you’re safe. Just pretend I’m not even here.” I knew based on his tone that he agreed with my mom. He thought it was better for them to be here .

Me on the other hand, I didn’t think I needed to be protected every minute of the day. They’d taken care of the problem. What else could go wrong ?

If I needed constant protection, what was the point of having gone to see my uncle Marcus? If he wasn’t going to stop chasing after me, then why had we even wasted our time going there ?
