He stopped just inside their bedroom and turned. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close so they were plastered together. “I love you, too, Raven. You’ll never know how much.”

She smiled because she did know.

Without another word, Dave pulled her toward the bed, and as her husband laid her down on the mattress, Mags knew she was the luckiest woman in the world.

Thank you all for reading my Mountain Mercenaries series! When I started writing Defending Allye, I wasn’t sure what Rex’s story might be. But the more I wrote, the more excited I became to get to the final book. Both Rex and Raven have been through hell, but I love that I was able to give them the happily ever after they deserve.
