Only Mine (Honey Mountain #5)(93)
“Lila, right? You’re Travis’s little sister? We met a couple of times when we came for the summer, but it’s been years.” Dylan hugged her.
“Yes. It’s so good to see you, Dylan.”
“Wolf, this is Lila James. She’s my best friend’s little sister. You’re looking at the NCAA cross-country champion right here.”
Lila’s cheeks pinked before extending her hand to me when I pushed to stand.
“Hi, Wolf. Nice to meet you. You can stop bragging now,” she said, smiling up at Hugh.
Hugh’s gaze moved from Lila’s feet to her face. She may be his best friend’s little sister—or whatever the fuck you wanted to call it—but the dude was checking her out.
“Glad you’re coming home for a little bit, Snow,” Hugh said, as Dylan and I returned to our seats.
I wasn’t sure what the situation was between them, or why he called her Snow, but I could tell that he was happy to see her.
“Me too. It feels good to be back. Travis thinks it’s a mistake, but he doesn’t get to boss me around anymore.” She shrugged. “All right, well, I don’t want to interrupt your dinner. I’m meeting some friends in the bar, and we’re going to have a drink and some appetizers. I’ll see you later this week to talk about the new job?”
Hugh nodded. “Yeah. Looking forward to getting you started.”
“Me too.” She smiled and held up her hand. “Good to see you, too, Dylan. And nice to meet you, Wolf.” She started to walk away and then turned back. “Oh, and, Bear, your teenage hostess practically gouged my eyes out when I asked for you. I guess you’re still breaking all the girls’ hearts.” She smirked.
Interesting. They both have nicknames for one another.
Hugh gave her a slow nod, but he stood there watching her walk away for so long that Dylan finally had to clear her throat to get his attention.
“I haven’t seen Lila since we left for college,” she said, as Hugh sat back down in his chair. “Wow. She’s all grown up, and she’s absolutely stunning.”
“Did she move away?” I asked.
“Yep. She went to run for Northwestern University in Chicago on a full ride scholarship,” Hugh said.
Dylan studied her cousin. “You sure seemed happy to see her.”
“Yeah, it’s nice to have her back but she won’t be staying long. Travis doesn’t want her to give up all the good things she’s got going for herself by coming back here.” Hugh reached for his wine glass, appearing to be a million miles away. “All right, tell me more about this wedding.”
“Well, it’s going to be fancy, but with an edge. Imagine the most beautiful wedding gown you’ve ever seen, and then put a pair of cowboy boots underneath it.” Dylan chuckled, and we spent the next few hours talking about the wedding and eating some of the best food I’d ever had.
When we finally said our goodbyes and headed out to the car, Dylan rested her head on my chest as we headed home.
“Hugh said he knows where you’re taking me on the honeymoon. Why won’t you tell me?”
“Because I want to surprise you. You’ve asked a couple hundred times. The answer is still the same. No. You have to wait.”
She chuckled and tipped her head back to look at me before she jumped up and wrapped one leg around each side of me, straddling me. Her hands rested on each side of my face.
“I have my ways of getting things out of you, Wolf Wayburn,” she purred as she ground up against me, knowing I was already hard as a rock.
“I can’t wait for you to try again. Remember, I’m a trained SEAL. I’m trained not to speak, even when you’re grinding that sweet pussy of yours against my cock.”
“Ohhhh… we’re bringing out the dirty talk, I see,” she groaned, and I tangled one hand in her long hair that ran down almost to her waist, and the other hand rested on the side of her neck, my thumb tracing her jaw.
“I never said I played fair, Mrs. Wayburn.”
“I like the sound of that,” she whispered as her lips moved closer.
“Me, too. Love you, Minx.” I tugged her closer.
“I love you, big, bad Wolf.”

Chapter One
Hugh
I planted my ass on a stool at the bar at Reynold’s, the restaurant I’d opened a few months back. Business was booming, and between opening this place and running my parent’s pub and diner for them, I was existing on very little sleep. I hadn’t expected business to be as busy as it had been since the day we’d opened the doors. We were understaffed at the moment, and I needed help.
