Maggie Moves On(133)

Kayla and Elton finally went out on a first date, which lasted forty-eight hours. They decided not to have kids and instead spend three months every winter traveling.

Dayana’s divorce was finalized. She decided to stay in Kinship and accepted the position of chief financial officer at the plant. She met a nice guy with two little girls, and they’re taking their time getting to know each other. She has no idea that he bought a ring for her the day after their first date.

Cody took a gap year before going off to art school. After graduating with honors, he rejoined Maggie’s company and is planning to propose to Jun once she’s done with dental school.

Wallace finished Ava Campbell’s last manuscript, and it hit the New York Times bestseller list. The royalties on Campbell’s backlist paid for the Ava Campbell Park, created on the land where the gold was found. Wallace went on to write a book about Mrs. Campbell and dedicated it to his family: Maggie, Silas, and Cody. Maggie cried when he gave her a signed copy. He and Florence finally got married and honeymooned in Branson, Missouri.

Sebastian Spencer bought a modest cabin on the lake and hired Maggie to renovate it. There’s nothing modest about the eight-bedroom luxury villa now. But there is a special bookcase in the living room. The whole family spends every Christmas afternoon there.

Taylor moved her family back to Kinship so she wouldn’t miss out on anything anymore.

Folks in Kinship still call Maggie and Silas’s house the Old Campbell Place.
