Aspen (The Dragon Kings #2)(61)
“No, your car was found on the side of the road, but no one was there. We thought the dragon got all three of you.”
“But then where’s Rowan?”
A few miles away on the top of a snow-capped mountain, a golden dragon bowed to large white one.
“You’ve done well. Especially throwing the blame on Tendoy like that,” the white dragon said.
“No one suspected me. It was easy really. He had been careless.”
“Winerva would have been proud.”
“I’m sorry I didn’t protect her. I had already left by the time Aspen killed her.”
“I know. But my aunt expected it. She left me ready to take her place. Once Obsidian and Aspen are dead, we’ll be prepared to take over the council. And then you, Prometheus, and I will rule as king and queen,” said Candide.

Thank you for reading!
Kimberly Loth can’t decide where she wants to settle down. She’s lived in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Utah, California, Oregon, and South Carolina. She finally decided to make the leap and leave the U.S. behind for a few years. She spent two wild years in Cairo, Egypt. Currently, she lives in Shenzhen, China with her husband and two kids. She is a middle school math teacher by day (please don’t hold that against her) and YA author by night. She loves romantic movies, chocolate, roses, and crazy adventures. Aspen is her seventh novel.
These get harder and harder to write the more books I publish, because I’m terrified I’m going to forget someone.
Thanks go first to my amazing publicist and best friend, Virginia. She does so much. I don’t know what I’d do without her.
Big thank you to Will, Xandi, and AJ. I know I’ve been super busy with book stuff lately and I’m so, so grateful for your support and belief in me.
Mandy, Kristin, and Karen. You three are my writing tribe. Thank for the unending emails and support.
To my team, Kelley, Suzi, Rebecca, and Colleen. It takes a village to publish a book. Thanks for your amazing talent in taking my manuscript and turning it into a book.
Brittany, thanks for the proofread. My eyes don’t see those things you do!
Finally, a huge thank you to my fans. Especially those superfans (you know who you are). You all are amazing and I love hearing from you. Thanks for your support and spreading the word.
