Viper's Kiss (Back Down Devil MC #8)(39)

For a minute there he thought he had hit the jackpot. Jessa watching him getting sucked off. Her presence was what finally let his body do its thing. Hell, he had planned on coming and then properly introducing Jessa and the woman. Then they could really have some fun. Shit, Jessa would look great between another woman’s legs, right?

But now…

“Pregnant?” Blaine asked. “How?”

“You f*ck how many women a week? And you’re going to ask how I got pregnant? You f*cked me!”

“I…” Blaine thought about it. He had gone inside her. Without anything on. “You told me…”

“I f*cked up,” Jessa said. “Whoops.”

“Whoops?” Blaine growled. “You set me up. Is that what this is? A f*cking set up? So I’d take care of you?”

Jessa gasped. “Who the hell do you think you are?”

Blaine looked at Jessa’s stomach. He shook his head. “Pregnant. A baby.”

“Yeah,” Jessa said. “I’m pregnant.”

“And you’re sure it’s mine.”

“Fuck you. I’m not like you.”

“Fuck me? You saw what I just did there. That woman can’t get pregnant when she’s swallowing it.”

“You’re such an *.”

“And what are you?” Blaine snapped. “You f*cking come to me. You dig up the past. You f*cking beg for it…” Blaine stepped toward Jessa. “You begged me to f*ck you.”

Jessa swung and slapped Blaine.

Blaine’s head snapped to the side. His cheek stung. He’d had worse.

“Is that all you got?” Blaine asked. “Because I’ve got about five more women out there who are waiting for me.”

Jessa looked ready to hit him again. Instead, she darted toward the bathroom. The door shut and locked.

Blaine backed up and leaned against the dresser.

Pregnant? A baby?

He shook his head. He had no urge to have a family. Not after what happened. It was easier to live with nothing to lose and nothing to gain. Having a baby meant…it meant love. It meant protection. It meant innocence.

Blaine looked at the bathroom door.

He was f*cking livid. Yet somewhere inside him he was… thrilled.

He shut his eyes. He pictured Jessa with a swollen belly. Her tits would do the same, right? They’d fill with milk for the baby. Her body would change. Those wide hips would look sexier. She’d need him for everything. All her aches, pains, needs, pleasures… they were his.

The sick fantasy he had of Miller’s woman, Ella - since she was still breastfeeding her baby - was coming true for himself now. He’d have his own…

“Stop,” Blaine whispered.

He stepped forward. He looked to the bedroom door. He could split right now.

Or he could go to the bathroom and figure this out with Jessa.

The * in him wanted to send her packing. It would be an easier life for herself and for the kid if they knew nothing about him. But a dead spot in his heart started to scratch back to life. Not to replace all he lost, but maybe to remind him of what it was like to love.

So Blaine stood there, stuck between heaven, hell, and his own goddamn life.

This was going to be a huge kink in what the MC needed to do about Vin and Eight Under MC. Not to mention Ethan breathing down their necks.

Blaine walked to the bathroom door. “Open up.”

“No,” Jessa said.

“This is my f*cking room, sweetheart. And my club.”

“Break the door down.”

Blaine lifted his foot and kicked. The door exploded open as Jessa jumped up on the bathroom sink. Tears streaked down her face as she stared at Blaine.

“You told me to do it,” Blaine said.

“What the f*ck am I supposed to do?” Jessa asked.

She touched her stomach.

She was terrified.

“What do you mean?”

“Am I keeping it?”

“What?” Blaine asked. “There’s no other option. Jesus Christ, Jessa. Why…”

“Look at this!” Jessa yelled. “I’m in the bathroom of a MC clubhouse with my best friend’s fiancée. Whom, by the way, I had sex with and he got me pregnant. Oh, and if that’s not enough, there’s a guy trying to kill me.”

“It could be worse.”

“How?”

“You could have gotten knocked up by someone ugly.”

Jessa shook her head. “I hate you, Blaine. With all my heart.”

Blaine inched closer to Jessa. “Good. Hate is going to get you through all this. Because outside it’s going to get bloody. We’re going to take down Vin. And I’ll keep you safe.” Blaine put a hand to Jessa’s stomach. “The baby, too. Nothing will happen to you.”

Jessa blinked as tears fell again. “Blaine…”

“Listen to me right now. I’m saying this once. You’re pregnant with my child. I’m a ruthless piece of shit outlaw. I should have had a bullet in my head years ago. I gave up my leather cut for weeks because of you. Because you brought some truth out of me I didn’t think I cared about. The club voted on whether to strip my patch or not. They kept me around. Why? They’re my family. And now, so are you. You’re my family, Jessa. Whether you like it or not. And you’re pregnant which means you’re off limits. Nobody touches you but me.”
