The Men with the Golden Cuffs (Masters and Mercenaries #2)(54)

“You’re going to get another spanking, baby. Don’t you move. I’m enjoying this.”

He was torturing her. She couldn’t breathe. She was so close.

“How long since you had an orgasm?” His words came out in a deep rumble, as though he was trying to hold on to his control.

“I use a vibrator sometimes,” she admitted. Why was he still talking? Was he trying to make her crazy? She tightened her legs around him.

“How long since you had an orgasm from a cock in your *?” He started to thrust again, little shallow moves that slid across some magical place deep inside. “There it is. There’s your sweet spot, baby. How long since you had a lover hit your sweet spot?”

She gasped. It felt so good. Pressure was building. She felt like a bottle of champagne waiting to bubble over the minute her cork got popped. “I didn’t know I had a spot.”

Oh, but Jake had found it. He thrust up hard. “Your husband was an *. I won’t make the same mistake, Serena. I’ll make you mine, and I’ll keep you.”

And he was off. He didn’t hold back. He f*cked into her hard, hitting that spot and grinding down on her clit. Over and over he thrust, his face contorting with the effort. He was so beautiful to her as he worked over her body. She couldn’t breathe. It was starting. Something amazing. Bigger than ever before.

“Say it, Serena. Say you’re mine.”

She could barely think, but she managed to say it. He needed to hear it. “I’m yours, Jake. I want to be yours.”

He came off his leash. He pounded into her, and she went flying, the orgasm overtaking her, lighting up every inch of her flesh. Jake’s gorgeous face contorted, and he thrust deep one last time.

He collapsed on top of her, sinking in, his mouth nuzzling her neck. “Now you’ve done it, baby. Now you’re all mine.”

She felt a smile start to cross her face, but then she caught sight of a man standing by the door. She screamed a little, her heart thumping in her chest.

“Sorry,” Adam said, his face a polite blank. “I didn’t think anyone could sneak up on Jake. He was always the one with the best hearing in our unit. Guess he was involved in other things. I finished up early. The rest of the programs can run overnight, and we should have an answer in the morning. I thought you two would want an update.”

Jake sat up, his chest still heaving. “Adam, I am so sorry. I lost control.”

“You never lose control, Jake. I know that about you,” Adam replied.

Serena pulled at the sheet, covering herself up. She was suddenly very aware that Adam had watched them. At least he’d watched the last part. He’d been watching when she’d screamed out in Jake’s arms. But wasn’t that what he’d wanted? “I don’t understand what’s wrong.”

Adam shook his head. “Not a thing, Serena. It’s fine. I’m sure you’ll be really happy with Jake.”

“What?” Confusion set in. She’d been sure this was what Adam had wanted. He’d been pushing her together with Jake for a week. “I don’t understand.”

Adam smiled, but it was a bitter thing. “Oh, but I do, sweetheart. Good luck with him. He can be hard to handle. I’ll let Liam know that he can take my place. Or hell, you can handle the whole op since you’re the big bad Dom.”

“Adam, calm down.” Jake practically growled.

“You don’t f*cking top me, Jake. Screw you. Ten f*cking years and this is how it ends.” He opened the door and slammed it, the crash clanging through the room with a thud of finality.

“Why is he so mad?” All of the joy that had come with making love to Jake had fled. She was right back to feeling vulnerable.

“Because he’s an * who wanted to be first. Get dressed, Serena. We have to find him, and you’re going to have to convince him you still want him. He took everything we said wrong. Goddamn it. This is my fault. I knew I should have waited.” He stalked to the bathroom and closed the door.

Serena looked at it and wondered if both doors hadn’t just closed forever.

Chapter Twelve

Jake stalked down the hallway after Adam. He couldn’t have gotten too far.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

What the hell had he been thinking? He hadn’t been thinking at all. He and Adam had talked about this. Begin as you mean to go. That was their motto. Start together and let the woman bond to both of them. But Jake hadn’t been thinking about that. He’d been focused on Serena. He’d gripped her hand, a little afraid that if he let go, she might walk away. The happiness he’d seen in her eyes was gone, replaced with utter uncertainty.

Yes, Jake knew he was at fault. And he was still seriously considering beating the shit out of Adam when he found him.

“Hey, was I not supposed to send Adam back?” Glen asked. He’d been a monitor at Sanctum since Ian had opened the club. He knew all about Adam and Jake’s proclivities. Jake couldn’t blame him. It was what they did. They shared women.

“Don’t worry about it. Which way did he go?”

Glen pointed toward the bar. Of course. Adam would head straight for the Scotch or the vodka or whatever the hell else was trendy this week. He was being an *.

“Maybe I should go change.” Serena struggled to keep up with him.
