Steel Temptation (Back Down Devil MC #6)(51)

Nate put his hands to the back of Mia’s legs and started to move her faster. He felt the rush between his legs mounting. He put his head back and let out one last grunt as the satisfying feeling let go. His cock throbbed, spilling deep into Mia’s perfect body. She lowered herself on him and just held there, rocking her hips left to right, front and back, her insides squeezing and milking everything out of Nate.

It was impossible for it to feel this good. Good enough… that Nate didn’t want any other for the rest of his f*cking life.

The thought scared him. And when Mia looked down at him, it got worse. Their eyes connected, his right hand moved up to her neck, and then they started to kiss. A slow, deep, sensual kiss, Nate’s cock still inside her body, gently throbbing. Mia moved her body slowly and eventually pulled off of him.

Nate got to his feet, his hands never leaving Mia’s body. He scooped her off her feet and took her to the bed. There he lingered over her for a few seconds before kissing her forehead.

“Sleep,” he whispered.

“I don’t want to,” Mia replied. “I don’t want this to end.”

“Nobody said it had to,” Nate replied.

He kissed her forehead again and then Mia curled up into him.

This was dangerous.

For their lives… and their hearts.

The next morning, Nate opened his eyes and saw Mia sitting on the corner of the bed. She was still naked from the night before, the creamy color of her bare skin so pretty. Her shoulders, back, down the crack of her ass, like she was put together to throw everything Nate thought he knew out the window.

He sat up, the covers falling down his body.

“Hey,” he said.

Mia looked back. Her hair fell in front of her eyes but not before he saw the fear.

“What is it?”

“He wants to see me,” Mia whispered. “To talk about plans.”

“The judge…”

“Yeah. Uncle Jake.”

Nate shook his head. “No. I don’t like that. At all. You can’t go near him again.”

“Nate, if I don’t go… he’ll make things happen again.”

“I don’t care. Let the war come right here. I’ll fight it here.”

“He wants to pay me for my time and then talk about plans. That’s all. Probably try to cover up what happened. You know? Make sure I’m okay. I can tell him whatever you want. If it’ll help you guys out. I can tell him you guys were caught off guard by the other MC and that you’re worried.”

“That’s bullshit,” Nate said. “You don’t need to see him ever again.”

Mia looked forward and hung her head.

Nate felt a tear rip through his heart. Christ, there had been a time when he used that line so much. You don’t need to see him ever again. You don’t need to see your family. You’ll never see your kids.

All those demons were clawing at him.

Nate leaned forward and reached for Mia’s shoulder. “Hey, babe, I’m just trying to protect you. That’s all.”

“I need to find out what happened to Jacob,” Mia whispered. “I just need to know he’s okay. I’m sorry, Nate. Whatever happens with my uncle, I need to make sure that Jacob is okay. That he’ll have somewhere to go when this is all done.”

“And what about you?” Nate asked. “Where are you going when this is all done?”

Mia looked back again, tears in her eyes. “I don’t know. I don’t really care either.”

“You can crash here.”

“I can crash? That’s it? Just… crash…”

Nate sighed. “I like you. A real lot, babe. I mean, I’m falling for you right now. You see this life. There is no escaping it because I want it.”

Mia nodded. “I know. I’ve never had anything feel like this before. I keep telling myself it’s everything else pushing in, but it’s the opposite. It’s inside me, Nate, pushing out. To you. For you. Because of you.”

Mia turned. Her perky breasts, slender shoulders, beautiful face. All for the goddamn taking. She leaned toward Nate and he grabbed her, pulling her right on top of him. He then held her for a few minutes in silence.

Shutting his eyes, he said, “You should go then. To do what you have to do.”

“I have to make sure…”

“I get it. But you have to be careful. This is even more real, Mia. If he comes near you…”

“I can get away,” Mia whispered.

She kissed Nate’s chest. It sent a fire through his body.

Nate reached for the nightstand and opened the top drawer. He took out a small gun and placed it on his stomach.

“Jesus Christ,” Mia said.

“Take this,” Nate said. “Just in case. If he tries to f*cking touch you, shoot him. I’ll cover for you. I’ll figure something out.”

Mia lifted her head. “Nate…”

“No,” he growled at her. “I care about you too much to send you over there blind. You don’t know what you’re going to be walking into. You know how to play it, so I trust you, babe. I don’t like it, but I trust you.”

“I’ll be back,” Mia said. “I promise.”

She lifted herself to her knees, looking stunning.
