Steel Temptation (Back Down Devil MC #6)(36)

Nate slowly stopped thrusting. His hands held tight to Mia’s hips. Her hand slowly slid up and down his entire cock.

“Is that what you wanted?” Nate growled.

“For now, sure.”

“Good. Now get the f*ck out of the shower.”

Nate opened the door. Mia climbed out and grabbed a towel. He shut the door and Mia dried herself, watching him shower again. She was able to dry her arms, legs, face, but not between her legs.

Nate had set her on fire… even if he was a bad guy, and even if they were in danger… he had set her on fire.

fifteen.

Nate dried off and left the bathroom. Mia had a long t-shirt on.

And nothing else.

Nate knew this because Mia had a pile of her clothes on the floor, her bra and panties right on top of the small pile.

“I took a shirt from the closet,” she said. “Sorry.”

“You don’t have anything with you?” Nate asked.

“I keep a bag in my car. It has enough for now.”

“I’ll tell one of the prospects to get it for you. Relax now, okay? Are you hungry?”

“I’m starving.”

“Let me get us something to eat then, okay?”

“Are you going to lock me in here?”

Nate gritted his teeth. “I dare you to walk out to the clubhouse dressed like that. They’ll smother you, babe.” He walked to the bed and ran a finger along Mia’s hair. “Something tells me nobody ever pointed out to you how beautiful you are.”

“Only when they wanted what’s between my legs.”

“Well, I’m telling you. And I’m not looking between your legs.”

Nate pulled his hand away and backed up. He got fresh clothes and dropped the towel, his ass to Mia. He glanced to the bathroom and knew he should have just gotten changed there.

But whatever, this was his f*cking room.

When he looked down at his dick, he silently cursed himself. Thinking too much with the wrong head right now, that was for sure. The name of the game was to get Mia to help the MC put that judge and Chief Jerry in a bad spot. Then the MC could attack and take their stand.

Once dressed, Nate ran a hand through his hair. He looked back at Mia. “Stay here. I’ll be back in a few.”

At the bar, Nate first ordered a cold beer. He then put in an order for some food, whatever the hell the prospects could throw together that didn’t taste like shit. Sitting there, Nate couldn’t stop the images of Mia’s wet and beautiful body. The curves of her tits and hips. The feel of her ass. Her left leg lifted, her sweet * dripping all over him. Fuck, it was making him hard again.

He couldn’t fall for her. That wasn’t an option in all this. Christ, she was being used up as bait for the MC, for her uncle, for everyone involved in all this.

“Mind if I sit?”

Nate snapped back to reality and Griffin stood next to him.

“Sit,” Nate said.

“You brought her in here?”

“That’s none of your f*cking business.”

“Yeah, I guess not. We’re under guard now. Chief Jerry passed by to check on things. Didn’t even bother to look. He f*cking knows what’s happening. It’s going to get bad soon.”

“It is bad.”

“Yeah. Well, it’s going to get worse.”

“What do you want from me, Griffin?” Nate looked at Griffin. “You want me to go put a bullet in the back of her head? Will that help you with whatever you’re going through?”

“Listen, man, I just got this feeling. Maybe it’s not her. Maybe it’s something else. But I got this feeling that something bad…”

Griffin shook his head.

He was obviously more than half drunk right now.

“Christ,” Nate said. “We’ll fight through this. Even when Chief Jerry is out of the picture, we’ll make it work. Frelen can’t survive without us. You know that.”

“I know that,” Griffin spat. “Of course I do. I’ve been doing this longer than you.”

“Maybe you’re getting too old and tired for it.”

“I’ll kill you if you ever say that again.”

“Yeah. You do that.”

Silence fell for a few seconds. Griffin ordered two shots and demanded Nate take one. They saluted each other, clanking the small glasses together, and then took the shots.

“She’s got to be at that poker game, Nate,” Griffin said. “I’m just putting it out there so you don’t get ambushed by Miller or Gaige. Or the f*cking table.”

“Why do you think she’s here?” Nate asked. “For my comfort?”

“Come on, bro, I know you’re hitting that. I see it burning in your eyes. You stink of her.”

“Can’t help myself. You know that.”

“Yeah, I know. Did you hear me, man? About the game?”

“I heard, Griffin. She’s got to do what she came for. That’s what she does to pay her bills. You know? Just surviving, like the rest of us.”

Griffin sighed. “I don’t know what the f*ck you have up your ass about this one, but good luck with it. That’s all I can offer. Good luck. We were attacked today, Nate. Not one of us. All of us. They wanted that shrapnel bomb to rip through the lot. And then they were going to come barreling into the lot. That was designed. That was given a green light.”
