Ruthless Hold (Back Down Devil MC #9)(70)

Trev smiled.

It felt good to smile.

But then something happened.

Trev couldn’t open his eyes.

thirty.

Eden was finally alone with Trev. The entire club had been there to see him, including the guys from the Daurian charter. Doctors had Trev sedated so they could patch him up. The bullet had been easy to get out without any major damage. The stab wound in his back only needed some stitches. Everything else was just cuts and bruises. Everything would heal with time.

Eden touched her stomach. Time.

In time she would get fuller. In time she would have a baby. In time she would be a mother and Trev would be a father.

Eden touched Trev’s hand.

His eyelids suddenly flickered and his eyes popped open. He slowly turned his head and grinned. “Hey, beautiful.”

“Trev. Oh, Trev.”

Eden stood and hurried to kiss him.

Trev wiggled his hand free and touched her stomach.

Eden gasped, feeling a surge through her body.

“Is it true?” Trev asked.

“Of course. I wouldn’t have lied.”

“We’re having a baby?”

“We’re having a baby,” Eden said. “You’re going to be an outlaw Daddy.”

“I like the sound of that.”

Eden kissed him again. “How do you feel?”

“Like shit,” Trev whispered. “Tired. Sore. Where’s… where’s Miller?”

“He’s right outside. Let me go get him.”

Eden hurried to the door. In the hallway she made the announcement that Trev was awake. Both charters erupted into cheers and all scrambled to the door. Eden couldn’t stop them as they all piled into the room to see their brother.

That’s when Eden spotted Jessa in the hallway, holding a coffee with one hand and Caine with the other.

“Are they always like this?” Eden asked.

“Always,” Jessa said. “Family.”

Eden touched her stomach for the billionth time. “Family.”

She went into the room and forced her way through the big bikers to get to her man. She stood next to the bed and grabbed Trev’s hand.

“You crazy *,” Blaine said. “You did it. How’s your cock? Still good?”

“It’s fine,” Trev said. “I’m sure it works fine.”

“Good,” Blaine said. “Because if it wasn’t… I’d be willing to takeover duties.”

“Fuck yourself,” Trev said and smiled.

“Is everything done?” Eden asked.

“Yeah,” Miller said. “Ripper’s done. He’s gone. We were able to make a call to the O’Nuall family and stop their crusade. Ripper had told them there was money and guns in our clubhouse that we stole. That’s how he was going to get us.”

“Fucking prick,” Nate said.

“How’d you get them to believe you?” Trev asked.

Gaige shook his head. “We let them search the clubhouse. Bunch of f*cking Irish gangsters going through everything. That was hard. But they found nothing.”

“And we gave them Ripper,” Miller said. “We let them take what was left.”

Trev turned his head and pointed to Xavier, from the Daurian charter. “There’s a building up north that’s full of guns. Tell the O’Nuall family about it. That’s where he had weapons.”

“Will do, brother,” Xavier said.

“How is Jasper?” Trev asked.

“Fine,” Cash said. “He’s patched up too. Clean shots, man. You knew what you were doing. West stepped right in and stopped the bleeding.”

“Shit,” Hudson said. “The old bastard took the bullets out himself.”

“Good,” Trev said. “Make sure you give Jasper a chance, Miller. He could fix it all up there.”

Miller gave a nod. “We’ll talk about that later. Jasper is okay with being VP. We have something else in mind and we took a vote. We just need your vote on it. Not now though. You rest up.” Miller pointed to the door. “Come on, guys, give him and Eden some time.”

As they piled out, Blaine tugged at the curtain. “Just in case you want to check his cock.” He winked.

“Asshole,” Eden said.

They all left and Eden slowly sat on the bed next to Trev.

They stared at each other.

Trev slowly shook his head. “I don’t know what to say. You’ve done so much to me and for me, beautiful. And now you’re giving me a son.”

“Or a daughter,” Eden said.

“Right. Of course. Or a daughter.”

“I was scared, Trev. Prospects came back and said you were in trouble with that guy. I hated it. I hated it so much.”

Trev reached for Eden and pulled her down.

“No, Trev, I don’t want to hurt you.”

“Not having you hug me will hurt me,” Trev said. “Come here.”

Eden hugged Trev. She felt him jump and wince in pain but his arms were tight around her.

“Nothing happened,” Trev said. “We did it. I told you we would do it. There’s nothing left to worry about, okay? The Daurian charter will get a new President. Frelen will settle in. Life is good.”
