Hot Sauce (Suncoast Society #26)(68)
The three of them burst out laughing.
They did it the second Saturday after Thanksgiving, at the club, before the regular play session started. With Loren presiding over the wedding and the collaring.
In Seattle, once they were back in their hotel room, the men had dropped down on one knee that first night and proposed to her.
Well, to be their submissive.
And gave her an engagement ring.
They’d told her that the wedding band they would put on her would be her day collar.
And now…here they were.
Gathered in front of all their friends, with Tilly sniffling and needing a constant stream of tissues, which were supplied by Cris, Loren called for order.
“Gilo, get it out of the way now,” Loren called out.
Everyone laughed.
Gilo stood. Tonight, he wore street clothes. Vanessa guessed from the leather boots he wore that tonight would be him on top over Abbey.
“I thought I’d have something funny to say by this time,” he started. “But I don’t. I knew Basco. He was a great guy, and I’m sorry he’s not with us tonight. I just wanted to say that it’s good to be here to see the three of them come together like this. I’m sure that if he can watch what’s going on, he’s probably approving.”
He sat down as the entire room burst into applause.
By the time the crowd had settled, Tilly was a blubbering wreck. “Damn you, Gilo, you made me cry. I’m going to get you for that.”
“You love me and you know it,” he called back.
“Lucky for you.”
“You guys done, or you want to get a room?” Loren snarked.
Tilly waved a sodden tissue at her to continue.
“Tonight is a two-parter,” Loren said. “First, these two men want to symbolically collar their submissive in front of their friends, before they become husbands. They’ve prepared their vows.”
Lyle turned to Vanessa first. “While I wish we’d met under happier circumstances, I wouldn’t want to lose you, either. We’d offered for one of us to marry you, and you insisted we marry each other. That right there shows the depth of your love for us, that you’d put us first in your life, before yourself.
“Life is short, as we learned. In front of everyone here, I pledge that if you accept us as your Sirs, and be our submissive, we will never let you down. We’ll spend the rest of our lives together returning that love to you, taking care of you, putting you first in our lives, because we love you. So will you wear our collar?”
She nodded, already tearing up. “Yes.”
He leaned in and kissed her.
Reed’s turn. “He said it perfectly, but I want to add that we take this role seriously. We will treat it, and you, as if you legally are our spouse. You aren’t merely property, but a cherished, beloved partner we want to spend our lives with. It would make us the happiest men in the world if you would please accept our collar.”
She smiled. “Yes.”
“The ring?” Loren asked.
Vanessa hadn’t understood why the men insisted on Carlo getting a grooming appointment, or why Jenny had hung back near the office door.
Jenny opened it, and Ken released Carlo, who wore an adorable doggy tuxedo outfit and carried something in his mouth.
The audience burst into laughter as Reed and Lyle called to the dog, who raced over to them…
And straight past them, now playing keep-away with whatever it was in his mouth.
Vanessa cracked up. “Who’s bright idea was it to give him something you actually wanted to get back?”
“Yeah, we really didn’t think that part through,” Reed said.
It was Cris who managed to snag Carlo’s collar and lead the loudly, happily mumbling dog over to the wedding party.
Jenny hustled up with a spare toy, which she handed to Vanessa. “Here, sorry. I should have given Loren this before the ceremony.”
Vanessa knelt and swapped Carlo the toy in her hand for the small, zippered pouch he carried, while Jenny took Carlo and led him to the side after snapping the leash onto his collar.
Once everyone’s laughter quieted, Loren slowly shook her head. “That’s taking puppy play to a whole different level.”
More laughter erupted that had to die off before Loren could continue.
Vanessa handed the men the pouch. They pulled her ring out of it and, together, slipped it onto her left ring finger.
“Do you,” Loren asked her, “accept this collar from these men, willingly and of your own desire?”
“I do.”
“Then gentlemen, I think you have yourselves a submissive.”
They took turns kissing her, Lyle first, then Reed. Once the applause from that settled—accompanied by enthusiastic mumbling from Carlo—Loren continued.
“And now, for the next part,” Loren said.
Rusty stepped forward and Reed handed him the pouch, which contained the other two rings.
“The boys opted for traditional,” Loren informed the audience. “Short and sweet. Join hands.”
They did, including Vanessa, too.
“Do you, Reed Laurence Hibbard, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband? To love, honor, and cherish, in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer—”
“For kinky and vanilla,” Gilo called out.
